How to make success simple

It doesn’t really seem like success can be simple can it?  Some people make it seem like it comes easy, while others spend their entire lives chasing success and fall flat.  Far be it for me to make seemingly naive statements but success, just like anything else we want to accomplish in our lives is the product of a formula.  In order to success you need to write this formula down.  Consistency + Effort + Education +Failure = Success.  You can’t achieve success without this formula and you certainly can’t have long term success missing one of the key elements associated with success.  Want to be great in business, love, life, fitness and friendships.  You have to put in a consistent effort, educate yourself on who or what you’re dealing with be willing to learn from your failures and then you can succeed.  There is no mystical force at work that makes success fleeting or unattainable, we only project those difficulties in our mind to make excuses when we don’t accomplish the goals we’ve set out for ourselves.  Instead we need to focus on winning little victories everyday that relate to the success formula and stick closely to the behaviors that have worked for us in the past instead of trying to retreat back to bad habits.

Consistency + Effort + Education + Failure = Success

“It’s not what we do once in a while that shapes our lives. It’s what we do consistently.” – Anthony Robbins

We are what we do.  Your habits are a major ingredient to defining who you are because they shape your actions and how you spend your time.  Want to lose weight you have to work on it everyday, through constant nutrition and regular exercise.  Want to climb the corporate ladder, you have to network with people and knock those projects you work on out of the park.  Cultivating good habits will be a corner stone to you hitting your stride.

“A little more persistence, a little more effort, and what seemed hopeless failure may turn to glorious success.” – Elbert Hubbard

To exert oneself in pursuit ones goals is working directed.  With just a consistent effort, working on your goals and bringing people into your sphere you can make things better.  Counteract lulls in your motivation by exerting energy in a positive direction.  You can’t just simply hope or wish the world moves in your direction or the stars to align for you to make moves towards your goals.

An investment in knowledge pays the best interest. – Benjamin Franklin

No doubt the best way to be good at something is to learn as much as you can about it.  You have to read, ask questions, observe and take in information from people who are already doing what you want to do.  Education is the most important factor to making success simple and can single-handedly give you more power to accomplish your goals and master your craft.  Educating yourself is like a shot of adrenaline that can propel you to action.

“It’s fine to celebrate success but it is more important to heed the lessons of failure.” – Bill Gates

I have previously in other blog post spoken of how important failure is and how important it is to have the right view of failure.  Viewing failure as a learning process as opposed to a major setback can give us the motivation to make things right and fine tune our vision and how we work.  Using failure as a springboard to creating regular good habits is essential and consistently adapting is an important lesson learned from failure.  I truly believe that the smartest people in the world don’t let failure get them discouraged from improving themselves and how they work.  Once we open our eyes to why we’ve failed at something then we can start to truly create a solid process.
